MILES — Something is in the air over the Miles softball diamond, and that something is Easton Valley home run softballs.

The River Hawks hit three home runs in a double-header loss to the Central City Wildcats June 27.

In the first game Junior Calli Beck hit a two-run homer; that was Beck’s second homer of the year.

In the second game of the double-header, freshman Kylee Ready hit her first career home run. Then, the River Hawks’ sophomore shortstop Sydney McNeil also hit her first career home run.

The River Hawks offense could only muster up three hits — two were home runs and Beck hit a double.
