The Maquoketa Cardinals girls basketball team held its end-of-season awards banquet at the commons area at the high school March 9.Â
Coach James Doepke talked about the girls’ success this season and the growth for next season. Doepke read off a list of school records the team achieved this season, along with some individual records.Â
New team records attained were:Â
• Most points average a per game 60.6
• Most team rebounds
• Most points by an opponent 90 (DeWitt)
• Most points scored in a loss 82 (DeWitt)
• Most combined points in a game 172 (DeWitt)
• Most 3-point baskets in a season, 141
• Most 3-points shots attempted, 490
