Some 90 percent of the media we consume is owned by 5 multinational corporations. No wonder it’s hard to know what the truth is anymore when virtually all of the media you consume is influenced by a corporate special interest using it to set its own agenda.

It’s nice to live in a county where the newspapers and the radio station are still mom-and-pop owned and have an old-school sense of their role in defending our indivisible rights laid out in the Constitution. Those rights include: 1. The right to criticize 2. The right to hold unpopular beliefs. 3. The right to protest. 4. The right to speak freely about unpopular topics — all of which of these 5 major multinational corporations wish didn’t exist, and know that it stands in the way of their own self-interest.

Thanks again, Sycamore Media and KMAQ, for doing it the old-fashioned way, a way that could possibly become the industry standard once again.
