Blake Richard Rossmann, 35, of 700-60 Pershing Road, Maquoketa, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, and first-offense possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.

On Feb. 5 at 651 N. Matteson St., Maquoketa, Rossmann was stopped for violation of a no-contact order. Upon search, Rossmann was found to have 0.4 grams of methamphetamine and 0.7 grams of marijuana, according to charging documents.

Tyrique Letre Turman, 20, of 302 Center St., Delmar, was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.

On Feb. 5, Turman was in a vehicle stopped for running a stop sign. The vehicle at Platt Street and Westgate Drive smelled of marijuana, and Turman admitted to having marijuana in his possession, according to charging documents.

Pamela Sue Barrett, 51, of 209 E. Grove St., Maquoketa, found not guilty of first-offense domestic abuse assault.

Martin Duane Heiserman, 56, of 31 Forrest St., Miles, guilty plea to an amended charge of having an expired driver’s license (original charge was driving while barred), $50 fine, surcharge and costs.

Joseph Edward McDonald, 29, of 614 W. Platt St., #3, Maquoketa, guilty plea to driving while barred, 20 days in jail, credit for time served, $625 fine and surcharge (suspended).

Brandon Lee O’Meara, 23, of 614 W. Platt St. Apt. 3, Maquoketa, guilty plea to driving while barred, 90 days in jail (suspended), credit for time served, probation, $625 fine and surcharge (suspended) and probation.

Matthias Todd Schroder, 30, of 302 Main St., Lost Nation, guilty plea to carrying weapons, deferred judgment and probation; guilty plea to possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, first-offense, deferred judgment, $315 civil penalty, surcharge and probation; charge of no valid driver’s license, guilty plea, $200 fine.

Cory Marshal Strait, 27, of 21 DeGroat St., Preston, guilty plea to keeping a vicious dog, $65 fine, costs and surcharges.

Mark Edward Vankampen, 44, of 332 Ferry Rd., Miles, civil penalty of $50 and costs for failure to report a controlled burn; charge of burning of refuse, dismissed.

Michael Alen Berg, 57, of 68 Cornell Ave., Maquoketa, was charged with public intoxication and two charges of assault on persons in certain occupations.

On Feb. 13 at 700 W. Grove St., Maquoketa, Berg was asked to leave the Decker Hotel bar. Berg showed signs of intoxication and was combative, according to charging documents. At the emergency room, Berg kicked an emergency room nurse twice and kicked and tried to bite a police officer.
