When was the last time you saw a classic movie, one of those unforgettable ones that you always remember? “The African Queen?” “Farewell to Arms?”

Join the Friends of the Maquoketa Public Library watching one old classic movie a month between June and November.

But first, which movies would you like to see again? Stop in at the library now to cast your ballot for six choices. (Movie choices offered are those covered by the licenses the library holds permission to show.)

The Friends will tally your votes to see which classics are your favorites and the top vote totals will be the winners. Votes can be submitted anytime between now and the end of May; see the display with the ballot box at the library.

At the end of May, we will tally votes and announce the winning showings.

Winning classic movies will be shown for free with popcorn and memories on the third Monday night of each month, June through November. Stop in and cast your ballot today.
