UW-Platteville announces fall dean’s list

The University of Wisconsin - Platteville announces its Dean’s List, honoring those full-time students who earned high honors in their respective colleges in the fall 2018 semester.

Area students named to the dean’s list include:

Bellevue: Ryan Larsen, ornamental horticulture

Charlotte: Emma Bowman, business administration

Maquoketa: Cassie Miller, agricultural education; Peter Perez-Weirup, elementary education

Miles: Mercedes McCloy, broad field science; Eli Schulz, agricultural education; and Abigail Smithson, animal science

The College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture and the College of Liberal Arts and Education require grade-point averages of 3.75 and above for Dean’s List honors, while the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science requires students to reach at least a 3.50.

UW-Platteville, founded in 1866 and located in Southwest Wisconsin, is home to more than 7,000 full-time undergraduate students. 

 

UW-Platteville holds grauation ceremony

The University of Wisconsin - Platteville celebrated its 201st commencement ceremonies Dec. 15, 2018, in Williams Fieldhouse, and the ceremonies featured local students. 

Students from this area who earned their bachelor’s degrees, with their major(s), include:

Bellevue: Ryan Larsen, environmental horticulture and soil and crop science; Oliver Reistroffer, biology and reclamation, environment, and conservation

LaMotte: Logan Schmerbach, mechanical engineering; John Shol Jr., electrical engineering

Maquoketa: Cassie Miller, agricultural education

Miles: Abigail Smithson, animal science

Sabula: Austin Shoemaker, environmental engineering

Pat Kettmann graduates Mount Mercy 

Pat Kettmann of Bellevue, graduated from Mount Mercy University, Cedar Rapids, in February, 2019.

Pat received a bachelor of applied science degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

A commencement ceremony will be held May 19, 2019, at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.
