Celebrate the end of 2018

Celebrate the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 with Heartache Tonight, a tribute to the Eagles, Dec. 31 beginning at 7 p.m. at Ohnward Fine Arts Center, Maquoketa.

Ring in New Year 2019 with live music by Heartache Tonight.

Listen to the Eagles tribute band and dance the night away starting at 7 p.m. Dec. 31 at Ohnward Fine Arts Center, 1215 E. Platt St., Maquoketa.

Tickets are for sale now.

Concession, beer and wine will be available at the show. Dine on a simple meal of sloppy joes and chips from 5 until 7 p.m. before the show, which runs about two hours.

Heartache Tonight brings together music from all eras and incarnations of the legendary Eagles band, which produced hit songs across four decades. There are no pre-recorded backing tracks in the Heartache Tonight show; all vocal harmonies and guitar parts are faithful to the originals and performed live.

The six multitalented members of Heartache Tonight have shared stages with some of the biggest names in rock, including Jimmy Buffett, Joe Cocker and the Doobie Brothers, and have played festivals and performing arts centers across the country.

A Heartache Tonight concert is filled with moments to entertain classic rock fans: from the guitar duel in “Hotel California” to the harmonies of “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” the soaring a cappella harmonies of “Seven Bridges Road,” the snarling guitars of “Life in the Fast Lane,” the anthemic country rock of “Take It Easy,” and the beautifully evocative “Heart Or The Matter.”

All tickets cost $30 in advance, $35 at the door.

Purchase tickets at Ohnward by calling 563-652-9815, in person from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, or online at www.ohnwardfineartscenter.com. Tickets are also available at Osterhaus Pharmacy and the Maquoketa State Bank main office, Anderson Pharmacy in Preston and Bellevue Pharmacy in Bellevue.
