Jackson County officials take oaths

Jackson County’s newly elected officials pose together after being sworn in Dec. 29 during the county supervisors meeting. Mike Steines, right, kicked off his second term as county supervisor. “A lot of decisions are not favorable to everyone, but we do the best we can with the knowledge that we have, and we certainly take all the comments and criticisms,” Steines said. Brent Kilburg took the oath for his first term as sheriff. “I know there’s high expectations, and I hope I can meet and exceed them,” Kilburg said.
