Seniors from high schools in and around Jackson County will receive their diplomas during ceremonies beginning Sunday.

Maquoketa High School graduation begins at 2 p.m. Sunday in the main gym. Doors open at 1, and the public is invited to attend.

An estimated 128 graduates will cross Maquoketa’s stage Sunday. Senior Sidney Michel will be the featured student speaker.

Maquoketa’s class color is navy blue and the flower is the dahlia. 

The class motto is “Because we will walk this path only once, then how important is it that we should walk with some purpose that we can call our own.”

Easton Valley High School seniors will cross the stage to receive their diplomas at 1 p.m. Sunday in the school gym in Preston. An estimated 35 students will graduate.

Class colors are white and orange, with a white mum tipped in orange as the class flower and “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts as the class song.

Easton Valley’s class motto is “Together we have experienced life. Separately we will pursue our dreams. Forever, our memories will remain.”
