• Two vehicles collided on Highway 136 in Clinton County at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 17.

Lawrence J. Simmons, 80, of Goose Lake, was pulling out of a business driveway and could not see over a snowbank at the intersection. He pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by Parker Scott Olson, 16, of Preston, according to the accident report. Olson’s vehicle hit Simmon’s vehicle.

The two vehicles backed into the business’ driveway to avoid blocking the road and they hit each other again, according to the accident report.

Damage to Simmons’ 2000 Buick was estimated as a total loss at $4,500.

Damage to Olson’s 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was listed at $7,500 functional damage.

• Joshua Stephen Fondell, 43, of Bellevue, was southbound on Highway 61 at about 7 a.m. Feb. 6 when his vehicle lost traction due to road conditions, according to the accident report. His vehicle struck the cement median divider, bounced off, and struck it again. 

The accident caused about $4,500 disabling damage to the vehicle.

• Renee Marie Snyder, 34, of Clinton, was exiting Highway 61 on Highway 158’s southbound off-ramp Feb. 1 at about 9:22 a.m. The accident report noted that Snyder was driving too fast for conditions and was unable to stop at stop sign. 

A vehicle driven by William Henry Kramer, 55, of Monmouth, hit Snyder’s vehicle, causing $3,000 functional damage to Kramer’s vehicle and $6,000 disabling damage to Snyder’s vehicle. Snyder sustained possible injuries.

• Julie Ann Hainstock, 60, of Wyoming, at 8:04 a.m. Feb. 21, was stopped for oncoming traffic and waiting to make a left turn at the 1200 block of East Summit Street. That’s when Cody Michael Heiderscheit, 17, of Delmar said he was unable to stop due to a slick spot in the road and rear-ended Hainstock’s vehicle, according to the accident report. 

The accident caused about $1,500 minor damage to Heiderscheit’s vehicle and about $3,500 minor damage to Hainstock’s vehicle.
