With high school graduation less than a month away, now is the time for seniors to decide what they’d like to do next. The good news is that students have a wide range of options available. Whether it’s a four- or two-year degree or short-term career training, they have much to choose from in deciding what best fits for them.
To help students decide, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is hosting a Campus Visit Monday, April 15, at Clinton, Scott and Muscatine Community Colleges and the Blong Technology Center. The event begins at 9 a.m. at each location.
The visits provide students the opportunity to learn everything they want and need to know about starting college including programs of study, financial aid possibilities, admissions and more. Students are encouraged to bring all of their questions with them. Parents are welcome, too.
EICC makes a quality education possible for everyone and has become the first choice for students planning their future.
Tuition continues to be one of the most competitive in the state of Iowa, thousands of dollars less than the four-year colleges and technical institutes. Financial aid is also available.
The colleges maintain formal transfer agreements with the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, Western Illinois University, St. Ambrose University and others. These agreements mean the credits that college transfer students earn here easily transfer upon graduation.
EICC’s 30+ career technology programs are designed to lead the student directly into the job market. The programs range from a full two-year degree to just a semester in length. With so many to choose from, there’s something to meet everyone’s skills and interests.
The event is open to everyone; current high school students and their parents as well as individuals who have been out of school for a number of years and are considering starting college classes for the first time.
Pre-registration for the day is requested. For more information or to pre-register, individuals should call the college they plan to attend or go online to eicc.edu/visit:
