The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is ready to deliver more than 28 million packages per day between Dec.16-21 and will average 20.5 million packages per day through the remainder of the year. 

Jason Andrew Large, 41, of 326 11th St., DeWitt, guilty plea to domestic abuse assault, 30 days in jail (of which, 28 suspended), probation and surcharges; charge of obstruction of emergency communications, dismissed.

A jury found Dorie Lee Thomas, 35, of P.O. Box 106, Bellevue, not guilty of assault upon a peace officer while displaying a dangerous weapon. The jury did find Thomas guilty of eluding officers, as well as guilty of interference with official acts.

It wasn’t really a sigh of relief for Tim O’Connell, but the reigning three-time world champion bareback rider felt some comfort after his third-round ride at the National Finals Rodeo over the weekend.
